Phaser 3 HTML5 game framework released

One of the most popular game frameworks for web based game development the last few years has been Phaser. Just recently they released version 3.0.0 and a quick follow on with 3.1.0 to fix a few bugs:

If you ask around about what the differences are, the answer is basically “everything”. This was a complete rewrite from the ground up to support modern JavaScript (ES6) and TypeScript.

Note: If you go to the old Phaser Home Page, you’ll notice it’s still devoted to Phaser 2.10 which is apparently now getting split off into it’s own repo and with it’s own name: Phaser CE - Community Edition
